Bathers on Crystal Beach
Crystal Beach was a well-known LGBTQ+-friendly beach during the postwar period. Many gay bars and taverns lined the oceanfront, and the Crystal Beach and Rendezvous Ballroom bathhouses (the latter visible in the background of this photo) were well-known cruising spots.
