The Southern California Women's Club for Understanding
The Southern California Women's Club for Understanding, a lesbian educational and support group, operated from 1975-1999. In 1985, a chapter opened in downtown Santa Monica on 2nd near Wilshire. Author Terri de la Pena has fond memories of attending dances in the former Retail Clerks' Union Hall.
