The Church in Ocean Park
Built in 1923, the Church in Ocean Park has a long tradition of promoting social justice, including LGBTQ+ rights. It is widely regarded as the birthplace of Santa Monica's progressive movement in the 1970s, fostered by founding minister and former Mayor Jim Cohn and former Mayor Judy Abdo.
