Frank M. Barnes, President of the Santa Monica NAACP
In 1948, Frank M. Barnes was temporarily suspended from his job as a postal worker for his efforts to support the African American community. As President of the Santa Monica chapter of the NAACP, Barnes led picketing at a local Sears to protest wage inequality.
